Looks good man, i paint my own stuff too, but really need a bigger compressor as it starts to run out of air after one panel, what size do you have?

Re: my mk1 reshell project
and this was painted yourself outside ?
i take my hat off to you mate, that is a perfect job especially in that space where you had it sat mate.
my last job i was a painter spraying tractors and tractor equipment in a proper spray booth and the finish was no better than this.

Re: my mk1 reshell project
Top job given the facilities and I'd be happy if I could achieve the same if I ever needed to respray a car at home :-) Seeing the pictures of the bare painted 'shell reminds me of my car when I first bought it, makes me kinda miss having a 'blank canvas' as mine's moved on so much since.

Re: my mk1 reshell project
That's a great job mate, takes a lot of balls to have a go yourself and it looks to have come out great in the pics.
Now to the fun part of bolting it all back together, dont think it will be long until this ones back on the road

Re: my mk1 reshell project
cheers mate its still got very slight orange peel and the odd very minor imperfection if you look really close but given the circumstances it was done in im happy with it another flat and polish and it would prob look perfect cant wait till its back together and i can drive it it is a good feeling to see it coming back together hopefully be able to hit some of the shows next year in it

Re: my mk1 reshell project
rob mate, i know i've said this already but i've seen where your uno was parked and there wasn't much room for spraying but you have done a bloody good job of that.
did your neighbours mind you doing it there?

Re: my mk1 reshell project
cheers dean mate it was quite tight doin the spraying had to move the gun a bit quicker as it was closer to the panels but no luckily i have sound neighbours well that side anyway so they dont mind
