now the weather is slowly getting better thought id pull me finger out and do a bit more on the uno and do a little update fitted me new locks and fitted the cleaned up and now straighter door panels
fitted me new rear beam mounts to the refurbed beam cleaned up the rear spring top mounts and painted and tidyed the rear springs up
and fitted the rear beam with new dampers sorry forgot to take pics till after but back on wheels at the back anyway although wheels will have to come of again for a refurb and still looking a bit high considering its on lowering springs hoping it will settle lower
thats all for now another update soon

Re: my mk1 reshell project
cheers dean mate fairly happy with the paint myself given the circumstances it was sprayed in and hoping the suspension drops a bit more as looks a bit like a 4x4 with that arch gap lol

How are your plastic bits on the top mounts? The grey things?
Also, not keen on the heat sheild.....looks a little D.I.Y for my liking.

Re: my mk1 reshell project
Coming together great mate, after all the prep and painting it must be a joy to start bolting the fresh parts back on.
Tough call on the heat shield,i am quite fond of a bare bulk head if the paint is still in good shape, saying that it don't look out of place imo and will still look good once the engine and everything is bolted back in there.

Re: my mk1 reshell project
the bulk head paint is fine mate as i sprayed it but wanted an heatshield on it as most seem to leave them of when restoring prob due to the risk of them catching fire but i wanted to b diffrent lol and was the best way i could think of to refurb the heatshield its growing on me wasnt to keen on it to start with as its a bit shiny compared to the oe one
and yeah it feels great to b getting it back together
