mk1 restoration
okay guys so iv had my uno turbo for a few years now and have and had full intentions of restoring it until recently that is and im now goin to reshell it. kinda gutted to have to scrap the shell but its just to far gone i took all the horman kit off and the shell was a disgrace to say the least i have purchased a red uno turbo shell and am picking it up this weekend from mintys mk1 from on here i have all the parts ready to go on so once i pic it up hopefully the rebuild goes smoothly and hopefully it can be mot ready within the next 2 to 3 weeks tops so here r a few pics of the old shell al put plenty new pics up of the new 1 once the build starts
the driver side was far worse when kit came off and u could wiggle the rear chassis leg around and i put my hand through both rear turrets lol off the scrappy with it
its not all bad though all the parts r good and with a bit of elbow grease they will look great on the new car
some of the stuff i have done that i have pics of
all keep the pics and the progress coming once the cars up

defo not ad love a horman kitted 1 they look really cool but i wouldnt go putin on on a mint turbo shell no way ad go all out and put it on a 45 shell and go with a 1.6 or 2.0 litre lump or just buy that white one that was on ebay that car had me drewling lol

do you mean the white one with red abarth stripe?
the thing that spoilt that for me was the massive intercooler up front.

Re: mk1 restoration
Cor she was rusty
Think it is for the best the reshell mate, but atleast it a reshell into another turbo shell.
I look forward to see it coming together, although i would be amazed if you can do it in 2-3 weeks!

Re: mk1 restoration
fortunatly im self employed fixing car buying and selling at the moment from my garage so am going to have to say no to work in order to do my own car which is top priority as the uno will be my daily car and my garage is at my back door as long as the woman keeps the cups of t coming al do fine lol infact i might just move into the garage
