Cheers mate, the clutch pedal still feels a little odd as if theres air still in the system depsits bleeding it, the cylinder under the dash above the clutch pedal maks a weird air noise when you press the pedal down would that split pipe have anything to do with that? dragging air into the system perhaps?

Re: 1990 Mk2 Uno turbo ie
dont think that pipe should affect the clutch to be honest mate just the brake pedal but im not great with the mk2 as never had one only mk1s i know sometimes bleeding can take a while have you tried pumping the pedal a fair few times and while holding it down get someone to undoo the nipple and close it before releasing the pedal the pumping tends to push all the air to the end works more effecctive than the normall bleeding method i find

Yeah bled it with a mate but still feels a little odd and the cylinder under the dash is making a rushing air kind of noise.

Jam the clutch pedal down and leave overnight, or as long as you like.. Any trapped air in the system should find its way back up to the reservoir?
Never tried it on an Uno, but it works on the x19

Hi yes you are correct robr33gts that pipe that is split is the vacum assist for the brake master cylinder just positioned in a different place on the mk2 inlet manifold.

Re: 1990 Mk2 Uno turbo ie
So today managed to get the down pipe and full scorpion exhaust bolted up in place.
Inlet manifold back on ect and fired her up after some fresh petrol but it ran very lumpy/missfire so i asume theres crap fuel still in it....
Things to sort which some may have an idea about.
Interior heater fan not working?
Rad Fan not kicking it, temp gets to half way 90degrees and still nothing
Lumpy tick over, had new plugs, rotor arm and dizzy cap, so perhaps leads, bad fuel and i have a fuel filter togo on aswell?
Brake pedal very spongey still, more air in the system perhaps? the split in the brake servo pipe could this have draged air into the system or poss brake master cylinder screwed?
Reverse gear unable to select but can 1st gear ect, linkeage feels very very loose also.

Re: 1990 Mk2 Uno turbo ie
The misfire could be due to an injector not functioning Matt, worth renewing all the fuel hoses off the rail, then test to see how many are operating, chances are you have one that is not working providing all your leads are in good condition... ?

Re: 1990 Mk2 Uno turbo ie
lumpy tick over mate i would change the leads filter if you say you changed the plugs dizzy ect see how it goes then then check the injectors as paul says i have also know injectors being freed up with a little tap with something not to heavy ie a spanner prob not the best way but sometimes works saves buying new one i know if left for a while they can sieze all mine where freed 3 of them up but one was too far gone
rad fan possibly the temp sender or a fuse
brake pedal fix the split first see what happens then

Re: 1990 Mk2 Uno turbo ie
forgot to say with the reverse get a friend or someone to try putting it in gear from inside and go underneath at the same time and give it a hand from underneath by pushing it in the right direction see if it goes in then if so its prob worn bent or needs adjusting
interior heater check fuse first then wiring see if your getting 12v at the motor plug if all ok test the motor
are all the earth connections clean

Re: 1990 Mk2 Uno turbo ie
So the the interior fan is now working, the ignition barrel is worn i think because some times the fan will come on and work when the i wiggle the key in the barrel so reckon i will have to change the barrel and locks at some point.
Finally collected my 14" Tempra rims, plan to have them polished and lower profile tyres fitted.

Re: 1990 Mk2 Uno turbo ie
Picked up a load more parts from Mick (roybacer) after breaking his mk2 turbo, shame to see yet another die though
However it means my can live with some fresh parts.
Managed to get
A spare AFM, Brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder both virtually new, spare instrument cluster, nearly new petrol tank, polly bushed rear beam, braided brake lines x 5, polly bushed lower arms, polly bushed front ARB, 14" Compomotive Mo's with Yoko's, 2 x doors, 2 x door rubbers, spare fuse box and relays, rear door cards, oil cooler, momo gear knob, 2 coil units, boot struts, omp strut brace, ignition switch and the kitchen sink lol
Cant have enough spares with these cars.
So the Comps 6x 14", going to keep the tyres for my Uno rims that im having polished so will be selling the Mo's minus tyres if anyone is interested.
Rear beam, will strip it down and re-paint it before fitting i hope.
and more suspension parts
