Who has used Punto GT3 management on their Uno?
Thinking of buying a local low mileage PGT3 as parts for my Uno.
Is the PGT management a good move?

I'm going to go down that route with mine but I'm going to use gt1 ecu.
You need to talk to mark, he knows what to do. Also there are a few guys on the punto sports form that can help.

Cheers dude. I now have the car and will be stripping it over the next couple of days.
Did you use the fueling and the ignition?

Re: Who has used Punto GT3 management on their Uno?
if the only reason to fit the punto gt engine is because of the ecu then dont bother everything that is needed to make the ecu work fits onto the mk1 block,
you said to start with you had a mk2 engine? is it a mk1 bottom end with mk2 head and cambox?
its always been a debate on which block is strongest but i know someone who has a punto gt producing 335bhp and 299lb ft torque with a gt3 block,
if your current engine is in good condition then just fit the ecu and all parts onto it,
i use punto gt flywheel and genuine valeo clutch

I want to use the best stock parts which is why I'm debating over PGT/Mk1UT block.
My current engine is Mk1 block with Mk2 crank and Mk2 everything else.
Is that 335bhp Punto on stock internals?
My engine is in good condition so I guess the best bet is as you say, PGT management, flywheel and clutch.
Thanks for the pics. Good photos always help.

Re: Who has used Punto GT3 management on their Uno?
no the 335bhp punto is gt3 block, forged rods, hayabusa pistons and 78mm crank so its stroked to a 1.6

Re: Who has used Punto GT3 management on their Uno?
I've been considering this conversion for a while and like collecting bits for a future project / mod
So the GT1 Ecu is the easiest one to go for as no imobiliser.
But later cars seem more common, any reason why you couldn't use all the bits (except Uno bottom end / head) from a GT3 car (sensors , inlet mani, Afm etc) but use the Ecu and engine loom from a GT1?
Or is that just complicating things?
Just i'd rather break a running car then buy an unknown pile of bits
Cheers Rich
