So here it is,
now keep in mind im not going for the complete strip down restore on this car, im making it strong and solid and making it look ok im not going for a show stunner as this will be a everyday use car
so far i got it trailored from birmingham to cambridge
so started by stripping it down
interior, wings boot bumper skirts off#
door off and one resprayed
floor pan was already welded and strong so i just wire wheeled and shutzed it
front turrets plated and covered with stonechip dont get me wrong all rot was completely cut out and welded with fresh metal
front slam panle triangle where the bonnet rubber screws into cut out and replaced
seals are mint
rear turrets mint
spare wheel well wire wheeled and stonchipped then shutzed
roof gutters looked rotton but were actually solid just lots crust on top, roof strips done away with and smoothed and resprayed roof
all around bottom of car undersealed with added waxoyl
all around windscreen ganna be resprayed and looking good
rear inner and outer wings all mint
roof lining is ganna be retrimmed with speaker carpet
15" fondmetal alloys weird ol things
new crank shaft sensor
new speed rpm sensor
new spedo cable
hormann kit was fitted by professionals with a bill from mike spence in 1990 £6400
look through all the pics im nearly at the stage were im ganna put it all back together
just to say this is my first time spraying

also i am very new to welding i done some about 8 years ago and thats it, plus using gasless, these pictures show everything in a real messy state, you will all see it at the retro show anyway but for a 1 month project it aint bad, luckily the car was already solid only the roof gutters and the front turrets


this first picture is how it looked when i first got the car delivered, yeah looks ok but not road legal atall

this looks a great project

now you can see my desperation for these bloody window hinges clips things, only thing holding me back, next job is refitting passenger side skirt and roof needs respraying sometime but it will do for now, then a few little tidy ups then mot and tax phewww nearly there
