Are we aiming to get there for the 8am gates open? or slightly later??

Looks like it's about an hour from South Mimms services on a Sunday morning so aim to meet there from 6:30-7am for everyone heading from the south? Damn that's sounds early lol!

Not for me I have to set off about 4.30 to get there for 8am.

Looking very likely that I'll make this now as my Uno is on the road, just weather depending now.

Won't be in the convoy though as it would be a massive detour from Peterborough!

Ok I have the passes now for the club stand you will need this pass to put your car on the stand.
Please ensure you complete all the details on the pass and have it visible on arrival into santa pod. The registration number MUST match the vehicle it is displayed in. It will be checked.
Without it cars will not be allowed past the security checkpoints. Any car without a club pass will be directed into the general parking field.

Can all people that would like to put there car on the stand PM me your address so i can send it out ASAP.
The pass is FREE but you will have to pay to enter santa pod per person.
One pass per car.

Does anyone else coming from the south want to meet at South Mimms next Sunday morning?

My uno will not be at the show as I'm still fitting a new turbo, but I will still be there.For those that are going Santa pod would like you to be there by 10 if possible. I will be there at this time. I still have more passes if anyone would like to come just let me know thanks Ben.

Im aiming to get there around 10ish, just going to take a nice easy drive up there with little Kynan sitting gun-shot. Lets hope the weather holds out:)

So what's the plan tomorrow? How many of us are coming and will it be easy to find each other/know where to go when we get there?

I will be there by 10 ish. The Marshall's will tell you where to go when you get there.
So make sure you have your pass in the window. My car will not be there see you tomorrow. Ben

only the grren horman will be there tomoro as couldnt sort out insurance in time, and i had heat stroke today so door card is off and few bits need doing, so ill be there in a half built green horman lol so there one extra stand pass for someone ill bring it with me

Well what a day,I was 99% sure I was not going this year but after waking up earlyish and the sun shinning I thought sod it lol.

Car was in a right old state but I did not really care at the time,well not until I got there at 11ish and pulled up in are completely empty stand space where some fat lass waddled past and mutted “your car looks shit mate”   
Maybe I should of washed it as did look rather shit compared to all the other waxed up show cars there   

Talking of which the other unos up there…

Hakydans and jasracings unos were bloody amazing and as good as they are I don’t think the threads on here do them justice,when you see them in the flesh and see the finish on both of them you can see the amount of hours that have been put into them,top class showcars the pair of them.
I could go on for ages here but its definatally worth going to see these cars if you ever get the chance as I don’t think you will find any better mk1’s in the uk,one subtlety yet extremely modded and one pretty much bone stock with an as new early interior,stunners!

St17’s white to be turboed uno was also looking mint,a very very clean shell that and in a decent colour to,still gutted I did not spot it first as they don’t come any cleaner than that.

Blondechris’s mk2 was also looking spot on, and had a real nice stance to it,another really clean uno that aswell. 

Youknowturbos hormann was also a pleasure to look at and a real blast from the past as I always fancied a hormann back when I had my first uno   

With all the above unos looking great and my rotter looking abit ropey and all the other unos not actually on the stand and infact in more “posher” areas    I decided it was best to keep my uno in the que and on the ¼ mile out the way.

First run and it went pretty good.,got a really good start and a new pb of 14.20@97,sensing the track was pretty grippy and the car running alright I was pretty sure I could better it.

Unfortunataly it did not happen,2nd run I bogged of the line of all things and had to redip the clutch and hit it again,still enough to beat what I think was an rs turbo but only got a 14.7.

Third run and I was against a sierra cosworth,the cossie jumped the lights and me itching to race it jumped the lights shortly after   ,it felt a good run this aswell and I am sure would of gave the cossie a run for its money but sadly (or luckerly for him lol)he missed 3rd so was not a clean race,also being a jump start no time   

Last run was with a new fiesta st thingy I think and I just spun up way to much all through 1st and 2nd but was still enough to beat the st by a fair amount but only a 14.5 due to the poor start.

Overall though a good day really, and good to chat to a few other fellow uno nuts

Yes it was a great day! Shame we were not all parked next to each other, but all in the same vacinity. Thanks for the comments. Hakydans was my favourite, and with jasracings also looking mint I was embarrassed to open my bonnet! I need to up my gamy under the hood I think.

was a good day shame about the stand being empty i didn't realise it was there til after a couple of hours, jas and hakys cars are stunning and they have done top jobs at restoring them, really liked blonde chris mk2 them tipo wheels really suit it,

took a while to get home after with only 45bhp lol
