Forum Visibility
Sorry I put the original post in the wrong section:-
https://fiatunoturboowners.forumotion.co.uk/t387-forum-visibility
I was invited by charliemk1 to join the forum, but I have to say, the visibility of the forum on Google is so low even when you actually type the words in.

There must be a way to improve this. The forum will struggle without more members and without it coming up with better results on Google it will not get any.
Just a point

Re: Forum Visibility
I had a quick read about how to improve website visibility to search engines and one of the things it suggested was to post the site to social media sites like Facebook. I posted my "project' post to my Facebook page, maybe other members might consider doing this?

Re: Forum Visibility
Yeah this is a very good point and I have noticed the same, even if you google the name you will get links that have been posted on other more popular forums first lol
There is an option for me to submit key search words to the main search engines in an effort to increase the visibility but I have not really got around to it tbh,the only one I done was google but it did not seem to help lol.
Tbh I am not to computer friendly, and this forum was only ment to be a stop gap until turbocollective got back up.
When I get time I will have a look into it more but I still have a feeling it maybe hard to fix as it maybe part and parcel of using one of these free forums with there default forumotion web addresses
I could pay for a yearly subscription to change the web address to some thing more sensible with out the forumotion bit which may help, or possibly change what we have to something like http://www.futoc.forumotion.co.uk for free but tbh I am reluctent to do either.
I will see what I can do when I can be arsed lol but atm I find myself just popping on here with my phone more and more often which is a pain even just to post with.
Anyhow a bit late but to the forum mate
