fuel pump pressure
I'm having running problems with my lancia engine. At one point it would not start it will now but not very well.
A mate has said it may be the fueling. I'm getting 38psi/2 bar from the pump is this about right?

Re: fuel pump pressure
You should be getting 5 bar + from the pump Ben. The FSE reduces the pressure at the rail to 3 bar at idle, then increasing with boost.. Your old engine was running 5 bar at idle when I checked the fuel pressure . Are you using the same pump?

Thanks Charlie
I'm using the same pump. I'm getting about 2 1/2 bar on idle but don't have an fse. Will have a look tomorrow and see wot the pump is when the engine is not running.

Re: fuel pump pressure
I would guess your pumps had its day mate, as they need 3bar just to run.
That's possibly why the regulator on your old lump was turned up too high when connected to a pump that worked proper

Re: fuel pump pressure
I'm still getting 2 1/2 bar with out the engine running so the pump is fucked. I have adjust the pressure to 6 bar and it runs
