Scottish newbie just bought F225HHH
Hi all,
After a gap of 17 years I have just bought myself another MK1 Fiat Uno Turbo, and its the rare anti skid model.
Its not as easy to buy them now as it was to buy them back in the 90's, and there seems to be very few left as the dreaded tin worm has obviously killed a few of them off.
I think in total I previously owned 6 MK1 Uno Turbo's, ranging from a 1 owner standard car to a heavily modified car with a Dimma body kit, but the car I bought is fairly standard other than Koni suspension & a full s/s exhaust system.
I am looking forward to getting it back on the road to see if they are still as much fun to drive today as they were back in the day.
Niki

Good to see another owner this side of the border. Apart from my own cars I haven't seen another one in at least 10 years, and as far as I know I have the only one on the road in Scotland. How much work is it needing being off the road from 2007?

Hi Charlie where are you from?
I'm not sure how much work is needed as I haven't had a chance to get it on the ramp and fully inspect it, but I plan to check it over this week.

I know of another one in Perth, Paul Paton (Elder and Paton) restored a grey one a few years ago. Don't think he ever put it on the road, just stashed it away the last I heard.
Give a shout if you are passing and want a look.

Yeh I know Paul, I'm sure he has 2 at his bodyshop and I don't think he ever finished the grey one. Did you have your car on show at Scone Palace car show this year?
There is another F reg red one close to Perth owned by an older chap according to a friend of mine, but he won't tell me where as he wants to buy it.

Re: Scottish newbie just bought F225HHH
I've just gone through the large history file I got with the car and sorted all the paperwork out, and I was totally amazed by the paperwork that has been passed on from the first owner to the 5th owner. There is all old Mots from 1994 - 2006, and service/ parts receipts from 1989 - 2006 and the original service/ warranty booklet. I so glad all the paperwork has been retained with the car as that sort of stuff is impossible to trace.

Re: Scottish newbie just bought F225HHH
I will try again during the week and hopefully I will be allowed to post, or message me your phone or email and I will send you pics.
I also messaged Paul Paton on Facebook and he said that his grey Uno is 95% complete and he does have another complete Uno Turbo which he is keeping for spares as it's pretty rotten.

Re: Scottish newbie just bought F225HHH
Hi Charlie,
I owned F225HHH for 4 years in the early/mid noughties and my sister owned it for several years before that (I think that she was the second owner).
I have tried to attach a few photos and failed (possibly because I am trying to send them from my work PC?), but would be happy to email them to you if you give me your address.
I have many fond memories of the car and hope that you are enjoying it too!
All the best,
Ian
