Oil dipstick length?

Oil dipstick length? Empty Oil dipstick length?

Hello all,

I have two oil dipsticks. One I believe is from a Mk1T and the other I believe is from a Mk2T. They both have the range part in different places which I think is strange as both blocks are the same depth and same size sumps, also, both are meant to take the same quantity of oil - 4.1lt

Can anybody shed any light on this?
