Constant priming Empty Constant priming

So I remember from years ago, I would turn the ignition on and I would hear the fuel pump prime for 1 or 2 seconds. However with my current ride, it doesn't stop. I don't know whether there is a timing or pressure sender that's goosed. Any suggestions welcome.

or just a guess but could it be a weak pump

Dodgy relay or wiring?.. Pull the cover off the relay and see if its full of crap and the points are working as intended
