Nice car, but where are all the bleedin' mk1's? Looks like they're all in NW London! Wink

I'm still waiting for details of this Oxford mk1. Anybody know about it?

You're probably shaving with their recycled remains Very Happy

Maybe, but none are Turbos! Two of them are 5 door 70SX models, and the 3 door is a 45S!

Looks like the seller was selling it two months ago but changed his mind and didn't want to sell it. But now he is saying that it needs to be sold so its back up for sale.

Nice car, late mk1 alloys make the car look tougher than standard.

personally i think the mk1 wheels put the potential purchaser off. they don't suit a mk2 in my opinion.
saying that if i had the money spare at the minute i'd of bought it.

Really, a set of wheels would put a potential buyer off a clean unmodified mk2 Uno turbo Shocked
You really prefer the "cinquecento sporting" mk2 alloys over the mk1 raised centres Very Happy
mk2 set on ebay, read the text Cool http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-Uno-Turbo-alloys-/300912327905?pt=UK_Car_Interior_Accessories&hash=item460fc5bce1#ht_139wt_1170

when i put mine up for sale i had lots of comments about people wanting the standard wheels so yeah i think it may of put people off buying this car.
don't get me wrong i like the mk1 wheels but i think they only suit the mk1 or maybe it's because this car ones are black and i only like them highly polished, or maybe they don't suit the colour of this car.
this is just my opinion, i don't think they look right on it.

I don't know your currect uno but were the wheels the only non-standard item on it at the time of sale.
My point being that if i looked at that car and wanted a standard uno turbo and a clean set of non-standard wheels were the only part needing changing i'd snap it up.
Those late mk1 raised centre wheels are worth about £150 to £200 in that condition, tyres look good even if they are Woossaaa Dark Pony.
A set of clean MK2 wheels on Ebay with a start price of £50!
How hard is it to change a set of wheels.

lol!

i do see what your saying and yes your right the mk1 wheels are worth more, i just don't like them on a mk2.
a set of wheels wouldn't put me off either but this is just my experience that a none standard set does put people off a bit when they are buying cars like uno turbo's for the classic status. some people can't see past little things like wheels, carpets, seats, speakers etc

I think starting it a 2k has put people off tbh, needed to drop that a little to get people attracted to it, as for the wheels they really dont suit it what so ever but it isnt a reason not to buy it lol

Well, i can confim, this has sold.

I was working in my garden yesterday evening when a guy pulled up asking if i had any Uno Turbo spares being as he had seen my uno on the drive for the last few months.

I just so happens that he has bought this one after looking for about a year for a mk2.

He said he's happy with it to an extent, but its not in the condition it looks on the pictures. Shame really.

Anyway, the new owner seems a sound guy and is going to restore it to its original condition.

He said he'll pop it round for me to haver a look at and see what i think.

It still amazes me how many people clock my UT on the drive and stop outside to ask me about it/ask if i want to sell it LOL!

There's more rust on it (hidden) than it looks like apparently. I don't know exactly as i haven't seen the car yet, but he's popping it round one day for me to have a good nose round.

Think he's just happy to get his hands on a pretty good one!
