Retro Show 7th July 2013

Bad news chaps, failed MOT today and no chance of getting it sorted for sunday!!!! Do i have to be driving an uno to be on the club stand?

Wot car do you have mate? Think it will be ok.

I should be attending, although not in an Uno!

Well it's not looking good for me as the uno is not running. Me and Sam will work on it tomorrow if not I will be coming up in sams uno

NO still no go, well pissed off I have swopped a lot over ecu,loom, plugs etc.
I have a spark and fuel? dont no why it wont start  
i'll have a look in the week.

Only things i can think of off the top of my head is fresh fuel,cam timing and correct fuel pressure?

Oh and coolent temp sensor.

Coolent temp is ok, fuel is two days old and not checked the pressure.

No I didn't go mate that's why I asked if anyone was there.

Well my mate managed to get a few vids of my runs and my new pb of 14.33@99mph,i am reasonably happy with that although if i am honest i would of liked a little lower .

This time i just could not get it off the line well and would be wheel spinning through all of 1st and 2nd gear, so my 60ft times suffered and were higher compared to last time i went .
More practice (or a lsd ) is needed i feel and maybe a change from my plant it and hope technique

Even so it was all good fun and on the plus side my best terminal speed was up 5mph from the previous years 14.57@94mph.

It was also good to have abit of healthy competition though out the day in the form of Gary (UJA) aka The cats eye killer
Kudos to him for running the fastest time of the day which i beleave was a 14.25@97mph?

His car flys for the boost and mods that it runs, and how he gets it of the line so well on the 175s he is running i will never know,there will be alot more to come from this car i suspect

Yeah its definatally good fun mate,just make sure you have aa cover if you plan on running up the strip lol

my car is running around 165-170bhp

Such a laugh, enjoyed every bit of it, I guess mine may be running around the same power as they were both quite evenly matched, although I found you were starting to reel me in at the last part. Till next year, hopefully have a few mods done by then to up the power including a new clutch as the runs didnt do it any favours  . Found myself treating the Transit at work the same off sets of lights all of Monday lol.
