the only thing it says on the recipt is boost chip u can c the we adjuster on the black box

henstead motorsport sold the chip fitted it and done the rolling road setup onit iv never seen anythin like it

I'm looking forward to our arranged 1/4 mile meet this year Bill.. It should give us all good info on the difference between a go faster Mk1 and a near standard one?

defo lads the winner stays on lol so ad better hae plenty of fuel and ben ur gna b racing against ur old engine in charlies and ur old shell with me hope u like the look of the back of the red shell its all ul be seeing

I have seen on the old advanti site an italian chip kit and over boost kit mentioned...

I am no expert but what can it alter in the ignition ecu?
Possibly chipped to alter the ignition mapping i surpose but going by the over boost title i would guess its a complex way to alter the boost cut?
Not completly sure what the boost cut/over boost does when its trigged but think i have read it earths one of the ecus,not sure if this is the fuel ecu or ignition tbh.
Its some times refered to as fuel cut but it would not surprice me if it was the igniton that was actually being cut?

its in the ignition ecu i want to rip of that rubber casing and see wat is inside it lol im going to phn heanstead motorsport and ask them about a tune up and get it on the rolling road its i bit of a drive but a figure if they sold the parts and done everything to the car they would be the best people for the job and hopefully could give me some info on this on how it works

Yeah would be interesting to see what they say,is that power still on the stock injectors?
If so thats really pushing it,i have seen another with around the same power but he also mention his injectors were maxed out.
They can be streached with big compromises in running rich down low but even so i would be extemely carefull mate especially at that power.
I can only go by my experiences but with an fse fpr and 4bar base my car was done by 5-5.5k with 170bhp,infact i was killing the headgasket by running it how i was and using over the 5.5k revs lol.
The other 190bhp car i read about was also lean by 5.5k with fse and unknown pressure running an avanti ihi hybrid.
Rons car at the retro show running the stock 1-1 fpr was also lean up top but not quite as bad as he was still using the stock turbo and i think his boost was also dropping abit,that made 150 at a bar but was in the 13 afrs up top.
Imo the stock mapping on the mk1s lean out at the top end, which is a bugger really when you start running bigger better flowing turbos etc as its hard enough getting the mid range right with sensible fuel pressures then for it to start trimming the fuel up top makes it hard to get a good compromise even with larger injectors.

im not sure bout the injectors but i think they are stock and i was looking at the rolling road print outs and to me if thats the speed along the bottom y is it so low and has the tests been cut short due to running lean ??? im not clued up in the technical side of things im a hammer kind guy lol

Yeah maybe i would have to think about it,depends on the gearing and if its a bottom or top change box and if the ratios are the same.
Looks like a 4th gear pull though,185kmh=around 115mph so its getting up there in the revs,must be around 7k i would of though,god knows maybe it was done in 5th but i dont think there normally use that higher gear.
