Retro show 21st June

Well what a great day!

Sorry I did not chat to all but it was good to meet everyone and have a nosey at some very clean unos

A huge thanks to ben as with out him this meet just simply would not of happened,a true uno nut job with an extremely well thought out purposeful uno that is right up my street,an amazingly clean car

Big congrats to mark who I believe ran a 13.8 qtr and his car was looking very fast up the strip,has come together well this car and was putting in very consistant times up the strip and is mega clean to boot.

Most bonkers uno gos to rich with his ex Avanti car which grabbed a load of attention on the day with its race car roots,will be one to watch once he has had his way with it and is sure to be seen harassing many cars around brands in the future.

The quality of unos is certainly on the up as there were all crackers and very well looked after cars, which also can hold there own and walk the walk be it on the rollers on the strip or just parked up grabbing peoples attention at the show.

My rot box also done me well on the day and I beat my last years pb of 14.2 with a 14.1 and then a 13.9,left it at that as I had pushed the boost up to 23-24psi and was pushing my luck and wanted to make it home lol

Also a big thanks to john and gary who spotted me tucked up in a lay by and stopped to check I was ok and that the car had not popped its clogs,thanks guys.

was a good day, good to see so many unos in one place, well done on the 13.9 time

There's a lot more to drag racing than i thought, car prep, technique etc

Great effort on the 13 times , i was way off, as was my cars power on the rollers, but i knew it needed a rebuild and adding a management upgrade with the ex race engine should be good in the end.

Hi Rick, Was a great day and a good turn out with Uno's. I have some pic to post up when I get round to it just been very busy with work.
Well done on the PB to you and mark now I need to pull my finger out and get into the 13s too Think it will be next year now for me.
As for organizing the meet, its my pleasure makes it worth it when you see more then one uno turbo
