Re: MK1 Uno Turbo project in Bradford 57,000 miles
yes it is...good startVery rare mk1 1986 uno turbo 13i.e
going strong, I'm with you geezer, been there for many a year...Hi buyers i just haven't got the time /space to do what i would of loved to do is get this back on road had one when i was 19 loved it.bought her early this year with idear to reshell her, car is factory standed no silly mobs/ orignal all way down to wheels, both keys.
holy shit! is he selling my red uno?!The cars shell is shot to shit in need of reshell 100% running gear all good to go,i i have replacment koni ajs all around new bonnet/back n/s light front/lights.
that's all? just a new shell? a new mint shell, snap your fingers, it's all swapped over and voila £5k in your hand?! where do i sign up?I know the value of these cars when done there doing 5k plus all you need is shell and good to go.
abarth, abarth...is it really so difficult?1986 mk1 the car is factory gun metal grey, engine gear box mint, abath alloys will need refurb 5 off.
mint? how about some of those new fangled photos to show us? btw, you might want to see a doc about those specker holes...nastyinterior is mint, carpets with good vallet will come up like new, dash no marks ever inside works elec windows/ cig lighter/parcel self/ theres specker holes in rear panels!!!idiots!!!
so you say, but that doesn't make it so....Im looking for a grand for complete car this would be good investment too some one who appreciates the the classic mk1 uno turbo..like i said earlier restored your getting 4.5k/5k all day long eveyone loves these,s
no log book? you#ve had it a year? and obviously looked after it, but no log book?no paper with car! as i bought it, all tags shell number there will provide full invoice through my company, the car is in my garage at the minute as the pictures show....
you mentioned the grand already, but teh time wasting bit is odd as once again i'll refer you to your photos....I dont want any time wasters messing about!!!! car is going on a bye it now for a £1000 pound want really close to that/no px,s
is that delete as appropriate? in which case i'll collect for no cash charge to you whatsoevercash/collection only.
btw, just wondering...how do you store a car, and within a year it's covered like a swamp? I managed 7 years and all she got was dusty...

Looks like he's had to break the steering lock too as the steering wheel is bent out of shape,so no keys.
No logbook, keys, number plate & bad pictures. Could need a re-shell as this one belongs to someone else

MK1 Uno Turbo project in Bradford 57,000 miles
I bought it!
Going to be my third mk1 uno turbo.
Had
White 1987 did minor restore and ran for 2 years
Red 1989 mk1 did bits for running and used
This will be my 3rd and wanted a grey one so going to restore to former glory.
Going to keep standard, putting abarth anti skid wheels on, and may loose the sunroof with a non sunroof roof skin.
Have not seen it yet & expect it to be bad but that's the way it goes, going to be a challenge but will make her mint.

Cheers Fella's
I see alot of mint Mk1's when I am abroad, shame our climate screws us in more ways than one!
Will post on thread the resto, I am worried parts are going to be a nightmare because after looking around for stokists I am having no joy.
Going to need help fella's & want to restor back to original standard spec, car is standard @mo.

Re: MK1 Uno Turbo project in Bradford 57,000 miles
Unfortunatly deal cannot go ahead, this is not because I have seen the car and changed my mind but due to a work situation.
However please read on!
I have done some detective work & tracked down the guy who originaly sold back in may, he was a great help & informed me some interesting facts.
He bought it off a Fiat/Lancia enthusiast who could not store the Uno anymore along with another fiat classic. The car had been sat there for 15 years & going by what I have been told by seller @mo & original seller the off side/engine bay/engine running/boot area/carpets/interior/gearbox mechanism is all very good condition.
Also the original seller can go back to the Fiat enthusiast owner & recalls that he said he did have paperwork some where for the Uno confirming mileage.
I think the 57k is true mileage & seller @mo has had Uno's before & he has told me the engine is quiet & sweet/gearbox is good also.
Near side is rotten badly due to being sat under a tree that side, its going to need inner/outer seals/wing/door & respray.
57K with possible history to back up its defo worth someone doing.

Some good info there mate.
This may sound cheeky, but did you initially deal at the asking price? What sort of money got the car?

Re: MK1 Uno Turbo project in Bradford 57,000 miles
Hi Dean J
I cannot answer that as seller is not idearly happy with me but I cannot buy to a work situation. However Paul the seller has been great throughout the sale & sent me pics all the time because I wanted to know everything.
That mileage and it is completly standard car, yes it need seriouse love but to be honest ever uno I had needed it. That is geniune mileage 57k is mega for a poss 86/87 car.
Off side, roof, engine bay, boot well all very very good & doesnt need anything apart from respray to make A1.
N/side is trouble but I think you can repair, no need to reshell it just needs sum1 who's a wizard with bodywork.
Perfect for a project & save her from diying, go for it.
