Might be a silly question but does the IHI VL7 on the Punto GT fit straight onto the Uno Turbo Mk2 to replace the Garrett seeing as they are the same engine?

Jim has a punto gt's turbo bolted to his i think.
i have just test fitted my punto one to a spare manifold that has a Garrett one already bolted to it and it's a straight fit mate.

don't know but think i remember reading on the punto sports forum that the mk2 uno's turbo is just slightly larger than the punto one

Yeah Chris I fitted a punto gt ihi turbo to an Uno a few years back so they do fit.
