Sump gasket

Right I'm in need of same help I have fitted two sump gaskets on the lancia engine now and they both leaked
and both been cork so do i buy a rubber one or put some gasket sealant on the cork?

Yeah get a rubber gaskget but, be careful not to over torque the bolts up.

Wouldn't hurt to alyso use a generous smear of good quality sealant too.

Thanks mate had a good look into this to night and I think that's its coming from the crank gearbox side and dripping down.
When the engine is running it does not leak but when I stop running it it piss out so gearbox has got to come of so not happy

Had that after I transplanted an X19 1500 into my Uno. Turned out to be the crankshaft end seal, which meant I had to take the gearbox, clutch and flywheel off again. Just weeks after I'd transplanted it all in

I got the box off tonight so will have a look over the weekend.
