Yeah its tight on a mk1 between the dissy and afm,on my old uno i had a smaller universel jetex that fitted ok though, but was smaller than the k&n kit.

The k&n induction kit has a offset inlet hole on the filter and also uses a rubber spacer between the afm and bracket on the front bolt so that it fits, its really tight though.
You would not get a filter with a centered inlet hole with the same width base to fit in the space i dont think.

Still not sure about moving mine just yet, would worry me that where you go from silicone joiner to alloy pipe off the afm then the filter on the end the weight of it all may wobble about abit.

I surpose you dont have to worry about engine rock as the afm is soildly mounted, but it would not have to wobble about in that space much to start beating on the filter depending on its size of coarce.

I think a good way would be to remove the 60mm inlet thats scewed on the front of the afm and possibly weld a alloy pipe to that instead of using a silicone joiner.
