Uno Page - Wikipedia
I thought that the Fiat Uno page on Wikipedia was woefully inadequate when it came to the mk1 turbo so I've 'expanded' it a bit + added photos of my own example:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Uno#First_series_.281983.E2.80.931989.29
Hopefully I got everything factually correct!
I think the mk1 turbo almost deserves/needs a separate page of its own but I'm not sure I could tackle that!

no one else has said it but thank-you. The page is much more informative and your car is the perfect example to have photos of in there.

Re: Uno Page - Wikipedia
Cheers dude. It's been edited by somebody else since & some of the detail removed but it's still a dramatic improvement in what was there before. I did find the comment "by whom?" about anti-skid not being a reliable system amusing as I've no idea who added it but they should try talking to anyone who's ever owned an anti-skid car!!

Re: Uno Page - Wikipedia
to my knowledge the anti skid system was a very last minute affair from fiat. it apparently rarely worked in the show rooms when the cars where new. i was once told some people from Bosch had a look at it to try and fix it and couldn't get there heads around it. system features included a control unit under the dash and a huge vacuum tank inside the drivers front wing!!!
some of the parts came included with my car but i would never even attempt to try and make it function. i imagine the best route to get ABS on an uno would be to rob parts from the Mk1 punto.
thats my take on it anyway. whoever wrote the comment on Wiki must have a differing point of view.

Ha Ha - I clicked on the link and read through the wiki article before I read through the remaining comments, and I noticed the "By Whom" thing too. And my precise thoughts were "By me - it was shit". When I describe the system to people I liked it to someone yanking on the handbrake, because the rears were sure to lock up. Also, and my current Uno validates this, the introduction of the Anti-Skid mechanism makes the brake so attrocious that on dry tarmac it was impossible to skid anyway. I kid you not I did an experiment (back in the day) to see if I could get them to lock up.... nada! Just a very quick slow down. I contrast, I know in my first uno turbo (not an anti skid model), that could and did lock up.
