Re: Liam from West Wales
Hi Guys and thanks for the welcomes!
I've had my Uno in three different shells. My first car was a F reg black antiskid 1301 which was pretty rough and had been badly treated. My mechanical ability and finances were limited back then so was unable to solve/fix the many problems it had so I bought a H reg Turbo that had been crashed and fitted the engine into my black F reg. It was probably a blessing in disguise but also a sad day when I had a 20mph meeting with a steep hedge and managed to flip it on its roof (Note to self: never try to pick up a ringing mobile from the passenger foot well while driving). Why a blessing you ask? The whole roof was filler and newspaper (stuffed in to the holes of rust). It fell apart like a digestive biscuit after being dunked.
Anyway, I soon found a grey 1.1 45 that was in fair nick for £50 and went about stripping and fitting. Still not really able to afford to do it properly it was a case of make do and mend.
And then the one I have now, my sprint/hillclimb/road car. A red 45 which had only 31,000 miles on the clock and only three tiny bits of welding! What a dream to build!!!
I will start a project thread but seem to struggle with uploading photos to this site?

Cheers Dunc!
I have a thread in projects if you want a closer look at the Uno...
Yes they are your old ones! Thinking of selling them at the moment as I need to drop the weight and be able to buy cheaper race rubber. Sad really as I love the look of them.
