repair panels

Hi All
is there someone on line who sells repair panels?
I need to repair the front top mount wheel arches, one of its previous owners has done some very poor repairs that need replacing (someone welded a repair panel/ scabby metal off cut over rot and tacked it to the wing doh), i will make my own if need be but thought i would ask.

any sort of panel is like rocking horse s--t now days mate im afraid some places still have 1 or 2 odd panels but think you would b lucky to find some of them maybe italy would be your best bet

who would weld a repair patch to a bolt on wing?

god knows maybe a blind man or jhon wayne does look a rough job im not a great welder but i wouldnt do that

out the ones i know of mate this is the only place still showing it on there site its a full panel tho and you would have to check with them on the availability there was another place ill try find that got there panels from abroad but heres the one i mentioned

no worries no gaurantee theyll stock them but worth a try i suppose

I'm not so sure the inner wing is bolt on - I'll check my Thatchem manual

Hi pretty sure the inner wing is welded

yeah it will b spot welded like all the other panels

Thatchem don't say for the inner wing, but I'm sure it's not bolt on.

Thought you ment the inner wing was a bolt on pannel

The outer outer wings are bolt on with a bit of glue.

The inner wing is welded to the car. Only the outer front wings are bolt on.

Now I'm home I see what you mean... outer and inner wing welded together.

You can always cut a rustfree section out of a clean uk car from a breaker yard for about £30. As long as it's rust free your just swapping one genuine Fiat part for another. I wouldn't get involved in changing the whole front suspension turret/inner wing it'd be a nightmare job and costly.

I'd give the rest of the car a good look over to see if there are any other areas that have been plated over.

So back to one of my other questions are mk1s and mk2 parts the same structurally?
As the one in the Breakers in Birmingham is a mk2 isnt it?

yeah the shells the same just the front panel that diffrent i believe and the outer wings bonnet ect that one is a mk2 mate yeah
