Re: Hi From Bolton
It could well be, i bought it from Manchester off a friend he bought it from London area, i think its had 3 owners who have bought it and then just left it or struggled with it, its been sat at work in storage for 6 months and plan on getting it running over Easter, i have both front wings (care of Charlie) new bonnet and drivers door at the painters as we speak, i did see pictures of it on the old site from 2008 when it was last on the road.

i had a a mica blue grand finale and loved it but was proper rusty, yours is gorgeous and with the lancia engine would be lethal.

Re: Hi From Bolton
Both Dennis and the previous owner couldn't get it to run right, not sure why yet but have my suspicions, it cant be anything major as compression seems fine, im going to go back to basics with it and re set every thing to standard,
My thoughts are fuel pressure.

Re: Hi From Bolton
Hi I made my own mounts from a hybrid of X1/9 and Delta mounts
I used the cross member mount from the X1/9 and fabricated a bracket to fit, welded a plate to the driver side engine mount and used the delta rubber mount there, fixed the gearbox mount to the cross rail on the passenger side
and then added some stabalisers bars one at each side, all rubber mounted
The above photo you can see the gearbox mount and the block mount.

Re: Hi From Bolton
Its the Bosch correct fuel filter for the delta but i have used a polished coil cover for a vw to hide it, very cheap fix.

Re: Hi From Bolton
Hi
as far as I know there is one delta turbo carb version down south somewhere and another HF Turbo like mine but mounted rigid to the body and for hill climbing mine is the only road going HF Ie engined car.
The engine has been totally rebuilt with forged pistons and rods blue printed with lightened flywheel uprated turbo.
There is still plenty of potential to boost performance as i go.
