braking problems

Post by st1allstar on Wed Jul 29, 2015 1:44 am

I am having some braking problems, basically under hard braking the rear wheels are locking up, I have recondition punto gt front and rear calipers with the larger 240mm rear and 257mm front discs, new master cylinder,

I think the rear load proportioning valve is seized, the lever by the rear beam doesnt seem to budge,

can anyone give me some pointers?

Bin it mate and use a brake proprtioning valve, i had to set the bias to 70 % front to stop rears locking up after fitting golf calipers to both Unos

had the car up on a ramp to gain access and the proportioning valve isnt seized, its going to a garage in the week to be put on a set of mot brake test rollers as I think only 1 wheel is locking up under hard braking,

if still no luck I will try a adjustable brake proportioning valve, where did you get yours from rich? got any pics?
