Re: mini
Punto pistons then?.. I was wondering which one's you were using for deck height/ compression ratio etc. I was thinking about building one of them for the wife's car as it should be a good strong engine with the closed deck block. Ended up putting the punto crank in the x19 block ,which is the same closed deck.

Re: mini
Whats the 0-60 on this?
I've only driven an original Mini once, around a car park at about 20-25mph.......biggest smile on my face! (and the subframe mounts were rusty from memory).

Re: mini
update
well after 500 miles running engine in be no issues what so ever ,best thing that i ever done was to remove the electric pump ,temps never see above 50 c unless sitting in traffic .
so its just running 6 psi of boost but jesus it goes feels like the old lump around 170 bhp plus have shredded about 40kg plus of weight which might help .
had new down pipe made from 3inch down to 2 1/2 inch which has made turbo spool up 500 rpm quicker an made throttle more responsive

Re: mini
fitting a arb to the front
so next step was to fit mgf arms due to the metro arms don't have arb bracket on the front (rover metro sub frame )
only issue had with this was that the drop links sit to low for 13inch wheel as they are fitted on 15inch wheels ,so i pulled them up an inch to clear inside of wheel also had to trim end of arb to a chamfered edge as on full lock it would catch
