Hi All,

Im a newbie round here but I thought i'd share my Uno with you all.  It's the same old story... I wanted one when I was 18 but never got one so after months of searching I finally found one and then waited until the guy was ready to sell.  She's a 1987 MK1 and is absolutely mint.  Its had a full restoration at some point in its life and a £4k engine rebuild!  Any, words are boring so i'll get on with the pics...

Here she is when I first picked her up.  She had a ropey tinted windows and wasn't sure about the colour coded grille.

So here she is now.  Not had much time to spend on it with a few other cars to play with but i'm getting there

Peeling off the dodgy tints

As you can see, the interior is absolutely spotless.  The only thing that needs fixing is the heater unit but that can wait for now

Heres the bay.  I'll start to tidy this up as well at some point but not too bad for now

All that needs doing for now is to strip the painted bumpers and arch trims and get them back to factory spec.  Address a small mount of rust round by the petrol cap and front suspension turret.  Track down an original Scorpion 3" exhaust so I can lose the dodgy DTM style thats on there now. Respray and address the filler thats been thrown in where the rear wiper was on the tailgate.

She's getting booked in soon for a complete air ride suspension setup.  I would have preferred to use coilovers but as the rear suspension isn't independent and there are currently no kits to adjust the rear, air ride was my only option.  It'll be a totally hidden system so you'll never know its there (apart from when its dropped on the floor) so it will be in keeping with the original OEM look.  I will however be fitting a set of ultra rare fully polished 15" BBS RS in 4x98 that I have as well.

If anyone has a Digi dash that they want to sell then holla!

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the welcome! I'm not surprised this is a well known car. It's been in Auto Italia a few years back as well!

I'll pm you my number now.

Bahhh!!

Had it about 6 months now but shamefully only driven it twice including picking it up! Someone I knew had it locked up in his garage for years and said he'd never sell it until recently so I jumped at it!

Keep looking, you'll find one mate!
