As me and my dad welded in side the car it burnt some of the under seal off so i cleaned and resprayed the arches and the floor.
Would not wont to do it again. Smile

Hi Mark, all you need is the avanti motors engine and gear box mounts and you use the uno turbo engine and gear box rubbers, the kit will cost about £300 You will need one drive shaft but you have to buy the two about £300 too or you can make one like Dunc did. I think Wayne can make the mounts.
Ive not got a shaft yet but think i will buy them.
I am up dating my project at the moment, this will show that you need to do to fit the engine in.

I got mine with the engine I brought from mick.

This is the kit you get.

How tight does the engine feel on the stock rubber mounts?

I always find a good cheap mod is to either silicone or polyurethane fill the original mounts, the latter being the slightly stiffer option.

I siliconed mine and am pleased with how much its tightened it up,my mounts are old aswell with cracks showing on the engine one lol

Worth considering imo with the larger engine?

Looks stunning btw,i am looking forward to the latest pics cyclops

The engine feels good tbh but i do need all three new ones. I did think about using silicone in the rubbers may do it when i buy new ones. Very Happy
The uno and engine is looking good and about 95% done now, just all the little job to do.
Will keep updating.

When the red uno was stipped i then started to put the bits on the white uno some i send of to have powder coated and some i sprayed myself.
Also fitted my new boot that i had sprayed when I had the inside and engine bay done.

Next up was to fit the engine and modify the subframe as the gearbox hits it and will not sit right.

As you can see I've got to make room for the gearbox so removed the subframe cut out and welded a 3mm plate in then send that of and other bits to have powder coated.

Engine now sitting as it should.

Fitted my wheels and back bumper.

Very Happy Thanks mate, The bits that I've had done do look the nuts. As for the retro show I hope so I have had the engine running but have some oil leaks but I'm doing them now so need to run the engine a lot longer then i have to make shore its ok.

Still needs a drive shaft, down pipe making, fit seats. Lots to do still Very Happy

The bumper is off my red uno and the only one i have you not like the mk2 bumper?
